Students often call the library about textbooks in Rider Bookstore. You can find the bookstore hours, contact information, and what they have from the following links.

1. Press the wheely settings button on the far bottom left, above the volume. 

2. Toggle left on the screen to the pointy arrows that say "call forward." 

3. Put your office number in the box next to "Always" 

4. Make sure to toggle right to put a check mark in the box to the right of the phone number. 

 

SRC 24 Study Lounge Policy

The Student Recreation Center (SRC) lobby will be open as an overnight study lounge four nights per week this semester beginning Sept. 12.

Quiet hours are from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday night through Thursday morning.

These overnight hours are designated as quiet time for studying. The game room and courts will not be open.

The overnight study lounge area will be open to Rider students only. Public Safety will monitor the area via cameras and make regular rounds throughout the night. Anyone not cooperating with the quiet study environment will be asked to leave.

In case of emergency, please contact Public Safety at 609-896-7777.

Rider reserves the right to suspend the overnight study lounge if these rules are not followed.

Reference Desk Schedule

 

 

There were two changes recently that are affecting professors.  If they had a streaming video and it's no longer accessible, 
 
it could be that....
1) it was streaming in a database and our permalinks have changed.  Our proxy is no longer through the athena server - we use OCLC    - so all the permalinks have changed for videos (and articles).  Many of those who relied on these don't know how to find them on their own. So you would help them find it in the library one search. 
2) it was streaming in Illumira and now we use Kaltura for streaming videos.  They must fill out the streaming media request form (under requests onthe library homepage). This is not a new practice but Ilumira still gave some access or we manually forgot to take it away, so they weren't in the habit. 
3) perhaps the vendor stopped providing access to a title.
 
I'm quick to assume that it's #2 as that's my area of responsibility.

Rider gym and swimming pool will be open to the public for a fee.  For Rider employees the gym membership is free, but the swimming pool charges a fee. The fall 2021 hours are as follows:
 
Gym (Alumni Gym)
 
M-Th: 7 am to 11 om
Fridays: 7 am - 8 pm
Saturdays: 9 am - 5 pm
Sunday 11 am - 11:30 pm
 
Swimming pool (Coppola Pool)
 
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 10 am -2:00 pm
Tuesday and Thursday: 7 am - 11 am
Sat/Sunday: 2 pm - 5:00 pm
 
The above hours could change without notice.

Easyprint and  the Printer behind the Reference Desk

The circ keeps a ID card for easyprint testing and for students who do not have IDs. This ID may be used for guests too for a fee. When printing, you should use "library" as the user to login. Then swipe the card through the printer.
