Government Resources

Federal Depository Library logo The Moore Library is a selective Federal Depository Library. The Library selects mostly electronic federal documents, offered by the U.S. Government Publication Office (GPO), that meet the academic needs of the University. These documents are made available to the Rider University community and the general public.

What is a Government Document?

Any publication published by a government agency (federal, state or local) at the public expense is a government document. Nowadays, 95% of the current U.S. documents are made available on the Internet. However, most U.S. documents earlier than mid-1990s are in tangible formats (i.e. print and microfiche) and are housed in the federal depository libraries throughout the nation.
