Fostering the development of information literacy (IL) and enhancing connections between teaching and learning for lifelong success is what we do at Moore Library, and instruction is a key component. Instructors know their students and their needs best. That is why we work with instructors to create an instruction session around an assignment and require instructors to attend the session. We recommend that students have an opportunity to practice the new skills they have learned immediately after instruction.

Quotes from instructors
"I have truly enjoyed working with the librarian in helping to prepare my semester-long project of having students to write a marketing plan. Her library trainings and her creation of the accompanying resource guide have been a wonderful resource for students. For each of these assignments, she would learn about the topics before class and provide many examples and resources during her library trainings. Because of the extra time that she put in, my students felt that the assignments were straight forward. She also would help to show the students resources to assist them in writing in MLA format and how to cite using the library databases as well as Noodle Tools." ~ Darrell Bartholomew
“You were awesome today, thank you! … You did exactly what we needed.” ~ Professor Aimee LaBrie (CMP-115)
“You really opened up the students eyes to resources available to them. And honestly, it helped me a great deal.” Professor Kenneth Kaissar (CMP-115)
“Thank you for sharing valuable information with my class….You did a great job! ...I know that you are there if I need help with anything.” ~ Professor Dianne Gallo (EDU-106)
