ENG 366: Black and Multiethnic Literature (Peters, Fall 2021)

You are to collect a minimum of two (2) representative children’s books for EACH of the following ethnic American groups--your goal is to explain how America is depicted for a child through various writer's artistic lens for  EACH of the following ethnic groups:

• African American (2 representative children’s books)
• Asian American (2 representative children’s books)
• Arab/Muslim  American (2 representative children’s books)
• European American (2 representative children’s books)
• Hispanic/Latinx American (2 representative children’s books)
• Native American (2 representative children’s books)
• An ethnic group of your choice

*Note:  In addition to the use of books, you are also, after consultation with the professor, permitted to use at least one video or animated film with each ethnic group you select.  For example, for Hispanic Americans, the popular video, Coco, would be an ideal selection.
