The Critical Studies and Performance Practice Collection features over 370 academic books from the prestigious Methuen Drama and The Arden Shakespeare imprints of Bloomsbury Academic, as well as over 60 actor training videos through PATAZ: Physical Actor Training - an online A-Z.
Unfortunately, Drama Online lacks the mechanism for searching or filtering by author race/ethnicity or gender/sexuality, but you can search this database by play title or by author to see if we have access to the play.
You can explore plays by theme, such as sexuality or race. Explore by ➾ Theme . Of course, this will only tell you what the play is about, not about the identity of the author.
Explore by ➾ Genres and Forms does offer options such as African American theatre, Black theatre, and Queer theatre.
This database contains plays and criticism. To limit your results to plays themselves, filter to Content type: Playtext in the lefthand menu.
