Robert J. Lackie, MLIS, MA, is a Professor-Librarian at Rider University. Over the years, he has taught various undergraduate business communications, identity theft prevention, English composition, and public speaking seminars & courses; library & information science courses; and thousands of course-integrated library research instructions; in addition to serving as Rider’s first Faculty-in-Residence. Robert is also an academic library representative with the LibraryLinkNJ statewide cooperative and an adjunct professor in the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program (sponsored jointly by the U.S. Department of Education & Rider University).

A frequent presenter at library, education, and technology conferences and meetings, Prof. Lackie’s scholarly interests include instructional theory & pedagogy, library & teaching faculty collaboration, library outreach & promotion, research methods, and ID theft prevention. Robert has given over 650 talks, workshops, or webinars on the above topics, among others, throughout the United States.

Prof. Lackie has received several accolades for his teaching, writing, leadership, and service to the profession. These include the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award [Who’s Who in America, 2018]; the NJ Library Association 2014 Public Relations Award, the Association of College & Research Libraries NJ Chapter “2011 Distinguished Service Award,” the American Library Association “2006 Ken Haycock Award for Promoting Librarianship,” the “2004 Rider University Award for Distinguished Teaching,” and the NJ Library Association “2004 Librarian of the Year” award, among others.
