Through simulation, Bodyswaps coaches you through activating listening and communicating in a person-centered way.

Bodyswaps Career Planning Learning Objectives

The Active Listening scenario looks at a set of techniques that will help you build better relationships with the people around you.
  • Identify emotions in a conversation
  • Distinguish between good and poor active listening practices
  • Apply active listening techniques and behavior in a practical scenario
The Communicating in a Person Centered way scenario looks at a set of techniques that will help you:
  • Reflect on how they use the person-centered values
  • Discover how to support a sense of identity to build self-esteem
  • Find out how to explore each individual's history, preferences, wishes and needs

Get Started with Bodyswaps (NUR 405)

1. Enroll in your course by going to: https://go.bodyswaps.co/#/enrol?enrolmentKey=578d5f6e0ceaa9c826629835015afc5e&locale=en or use the QR code

2.  In the Class Invitation screen, enter your full name and Rider email.

3.You will then get an email from Bodyswaps inviting you to participate in the course.  Click on the link in the email to proceed.

4. Select the device model: Oculus Quest, Pico Neo, Vive Focus, iOS, Windows, Android, or Mac.

 

5. Run the installer file. If the installer file is already installed, skip this step and click the Continue button.

6. An access code will now be generated for you. You may now sign into the Bodyswaps program to access the modules that you have been assigned to complete. 

7. When you launch Bodyswaps, enter your generated code to begin using Bodyswaps content (please enter your code each time you launch BodySwaps. See video on this page for more information: https://support.bodyswaps.co/knowledge/learner-getting-started-v2
