- BIPOC Playwrights ProjectA project hosted by UC Berkeley, this website is dedicated to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) playwrights of the 20th and 21st centuries, whose works are in English or with English translations widely available.
This site is intended to serve as a resource for theater educators and practitioners looking for a broader choice of texts and materials. The directory of playwrights is by no means exhaustive and continues to be a work in progress.
Each playwright profile includes a list of representative plays and a brief bio. (Note: The links to online texts or resources are for UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff only. Ask a Rider librarian if you would like to see if we own a title or can purchase it).
