ENG 228 (Black American Literature) and ENG 229 (Multiethnic Literature): Searching for Film

Online Access

Unfortunately, libraries do not have access to subscriptions meant for individuals, like Netflix or Amazon Prime.

However, your local library may have the title you want as streaming video  via services the library pays for such as Hoopla. You can download a film using your library card for a limited time. With Hoopla, you will also need to create an account associated with your library card number.

Don't have a library card? Visit your public library's website to apply. During COVID-19, many libraries are expediting this process and offering temporary online cards.

See the page above on Mercer County Public Library! Rider students area eligible for a free library card here!

Search result from Mercer County Public Library's classic catalog.

Screenshot of MCL search results from search african american drama. Limited to eVideo. Results show the films are on Hoopla and have a keyword of African-American heritage.
